Young athlete Thatohatse Motsabi is hoping to steer the national rowing team to great heights after being selected by the South African Schools Rowing Union to join their under-19 team on a prestigious 2024 UK Tour.
The Assumption Convent School pupil was selected out of 100 participants for her exceptional skills as a coxswain and her responsibility to steer, motivate and execute strategy during races, which made her stand out to the selection panel.
"I have been dreaming about this since last year. Joining the squad has long been a dream of mine. I'm honoured to represent my country in rowing and embark on a UK tour in May," Thato said.
