For the past 13 years, she’s been a stressed-out mom with two kids and not enough money to make it to the end of the month, she says. 

At one point, Amber Jacobs* was struggling so much that friends had to pay for her children’s bus fare to school for six months.

She never imagined she’d find herself in such dire straits, especially because her ex-husband, Roger Beukes*, was a wealthy businessman.
