They are treating every match left in the United Rugby Championship (URC) as a playoff game following their shocking loss at home to Ospreys last weekend, but don't expect the Stormers to abandon their attacking DNA and suddenly start playing traditional knockout rugby.
In Saturday's 27-21 loss at Cape Town Stadium, which coach John Dobson called the worst performance of his tenure so far, the Stormers were reckless with ball in hand, throwing passes around aimlessly from all corners of the pitch and giving away tries as a result.
It was "far too loose", Dobson said after a match in which the Stormers looked to stamp their fearless, dynamic attacking brand of rugby on their opposition only to see it backfire.
