A South African-born doctor allegedly paid a hitman and his driver R20 000 after his ex-wife was gunned down on her way to work.
On Thursday, a packed Vereeniging Regional Court heard Dr Tumelo Raymond Ntholeng, 34, allegedly conspired with his cousin, Pakiso Makhanya, 39, who recruited alleged hitman Mzwanele Mazeke, 36, and his driver, Jabulane Thabethe, 38, to kill Palesa Mofokeng, 33.
At about 07:15 on 5 April, Mofokeng, who was a life orientation teacher at Riverside High School, was shot six times.
