Another eThekwini municipality water and sanitation department employee has been shot dead.
The official, who has not yet been identified, was shot on Tuesday night outside municipal offices in Springfield, Durban. A source close to the investigation said the man was shot multiple times and that the gunmen fled.
Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed the shooting at the offices in Electron Road and said police in Sydenham had opened a murder case.
