ATTEMPTS by the Mataffin Community Policing Forum (CPF) to rescue a family from a violent husband failed tragically on Monday, 22 April. 

The husband, identified as Sibiya, allegedly killed his wife and attempted to kill his two daughters. 

The mother (36) was stabbed to death after an alleged fight over a TV set ensued on Sunday, 21 April. It's reported the suspect, who is still at large, took the TV set from the couple's rented room and gave it to his makhwapheni.
