This loveable pregnant sausage dog has stolen the internet’s heart after posing for an adorable maternity shoot – and the photos have gone viral.

Cindy, a cute miniature dachshund, recently had her own set of maternity snaps taken by her owner, photographer Vicki Miller. The expecting mother, who’s carrying five pups, proudly displayed her belly and wore a fabulous flower band around her head while lying in pink and white flowers.

“When Cindy fell pregnant we thought it would be fitting to give her her own maternity shoot, something for a bit of a giggle,” Vicki told Daily Mail Australia.

“She does look super sweet though and has been amazing to do everything with, even though the shoot itself only took us about 15-20 minutes, she posed like the perfect model.”

Vicky, from Queensland, Australia, posted the series of photos, on her Facebook page and it went viral in a matter of days, with more than 19 000 people liking the snaps.

“I knew there’d be a lot of sausage dog lovers who thought it would be cute but I never expected quite so many people to fall in love with it the way they have,” she says.

Cindy, who’s turning four this year, definitely gave professionals a run for their money as she effortlessly strut her stuff in front of the camera. “It’s her first pregnancy with my very good friend's male dachshund,” says Vicki.

As if the pictures of the dachshund aren’t cute enough, Vicky plans on doing a photoshoot of the newborn pups in a few weeks’ time. “Once the puppies arrive, I’ll be doing a newborn shoot for them also,” she says.

According to Huffington Post, animals have always had a special place in the full-time photographer's heart and she hasn’t thought twice about adding them in her client’s photoshoots.

Since the adorable doggy pictures were released, Vicky has been bombarded with requests from people begging her to do shoots with their beloved pets.

"I’ve had a request to take photos of someone's pregnant horse and another inquiry about a newborn shoot for a brand new litter of kittens," she said.
