Amy Schumer's pregnancy diaries: She hates being pregnant at the same time as her "nemesis" Meghan Markle

Since her pregnancy announcement back in October last year, which included a rather creative use of Photoshop on an image of the duke and duchess of Sussex, Amy Schumer has been more than candid about every step in becoming a mom for the first time.

The soon-to-be mom will be sharing parenting duties with her chef husband, Chris Fischer.

As a female comedian, we expected the pregnant Amy to be as provocative and raw as ever, and of course, she's used her current condition as the prime subject for her hilarious Netflix stand-up special, Growing. But it's been her social media posts that have everyone talking and relating.

From her post about being hospitalised due to the pregnancy condition hyperemesis gravidarum (an extreme and dangerous kind of morning sickness princess Catherine also had to endure) to sharing a personal moment during an ultrasound scan, Amy's turned her 8.3 million Insta account into a pregnancy diary

"The last few days have been tough. I’m grateful as hell and know it’s temporary but tough just the same," she posted, after a hospital stay that saw her cancel a number of her comedy tour dates.

The mom-to-be received an outpouring of love from her followers after requesting that they tag her in pictures of their children because it made her feel better to see images of little ones.

Now in her third trimester, and seemingly over the worst, Amy recently showed off how well she's doing with a selfie.

Wearing only her undies, Amy captioned the image: "Feeling strong and beautiful today #didntpuke"

We're sure the 37-year-old couldn't be happier to see her due date in sight, which just so happens to coincide with Meghan Markle's.

Jokingly dubbing Meghan her "nemesis" because they've been pregnant at the same time, Amy's said:

"You know who it’s not fun to be pregnant at the same time as? Meghan Markle! She’s walking around in heels and cradling her baby that’s not even there, and I’m barely wearing underwear."

We can't wait to hear the comedy gems she comes up with once she welcomes baby.
