At 81.3%, the matric pass rate has never been higher in our 25 years as a democratic country.
The official numbers show that the Free State (at 88.4%), Gauteng (at 87.2%), the North West (at 86.8%) and the Western Cape (at 82.3%) lead the pack with the highest pass rates in the country.
The Eastern Cape has been crowned most improved, and in his official statement congratulating the class of 2019, President Cyril Ramaphosa said that "not one of the country's 75 districts performed below 60%."
In its 2019 NSC School Performance Report, the Department of Basic Education (DBE) shared the details of just how well each province fared, including the pass rates of each school by province.
To celebrate the cream of the crop, we've pooled the data provided by the DBE to share the schools that earned a 100% pass rate by province. See which schools have earned their bragging rights below.
