For some of us the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown has been one long nightmare, and we're just hoping it all comes to an end sooner rather than later.

But the reality is we've endured over 100 days of lockdown, and while the regulations are lifting it's clear we have a long way to go, and that we've lived through a historical time in our history.

There are many ways to document what we've been through, and for some families keeping track of what has happened, and making a record of the memories for the future, is an important part of getting through this.

US mom and graphic designer Natalie Long believes that it's important to create a keepsake of these crazy times, and she created a child-friendly 'time capsule' for her family.

She shared the PDF with some of her social media followers and the concept proved so popular that her site has been overwhelmed - and crashed - several times over the past months.

"We are all living through history and something I have said I wanted to do from the beginning is make a keepsake of this moment for us to look back on. I have saved newspapers and art work done by my kids, taken photos of all our days and kept a diary," she shared, alongside the downloadable worksheets.

The worksheets include prompts to kids to write letters to themselves, and to ask their parents to contribute too.

It also invites them to think about and write down their best memories of the lockdown, which could be a positive way to process the experience and maybe even create a keepsake that they can look back at in years to come.

Natalie has also created an adult and a pregnancy version for parents who want a keepsake of their Covid-19 experience, which can be found via her Instagram account.

Have you been documenting your family's experience of the pandemic and lockdown?
