He's just celebrated his 7th birthday, and according to his godmother, Julia Samuel, the young royal is one "amazing" boy

The long-time friend of Princess Diana recently spoke in a podcast interview about the birthday tradition started by the late royal which she's kept alive in the gifts she gives to her godson.

"I do to George what [Diana] did to us, which is give impossible toys that are really noisy and take a lot of making... [which] William then has to spend days putting together."

And according to Samuel, watching his dad assemble these gift is half the fun as it "makes George laugh."

Samuel says George has a great sense of humour, much like his late gran.

"He's funny and feisty and cheeky and God she [Diana] would have loved him so much."
