On Wednesdays we wear breast pumps?
Rachel McAdams breast pumping during her shoot for Girls Girls Girls Magazine proves that she's not just a regular mom, she's a cool mom.
I’ve already exhausted my Mean Girl’s references here, haven't I?
Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's talk about this powerful picture.
The image, which was taken 6 months after the star gave birth to her son, went viral on social media and features her proudly rocking breastfeeding pumps. Not only does she look like an absolute stunner but we can practically feel her feminine energy radiating through our screens, looking beautiful and liberated.

The actress, who has kept her pregnancy rather low-key, gave birth to her first child in April of this year. Evidently, she's been embracing motherhood ever since.
The photographer, Claire Rothstein, shared the image on Instagram, writing, " Breastfeeding is the most normal thing in the world and I can’t for the life of me imagine why or how it is ever frowned upon or scared of. I don’t even think it needs explaining but just wanted to put this out there, as if it even changes one person’s perception of something so natural, so normal, so amazing then that’s great."

Breastfeeding or pumping mothers are unfortunately still being judged for doing something so natural, healthy and beautiful and it's always refreshing to see people dismantle the breastfeeding stigma.
The media only portrays moms who breastfeed in one very soft "mom-like" manner too. While there's nothing wrong with that, there certainly isn't anything wrong with being a fierce, glamorous hardworking mom either, yet that's rarely shown. It's no surprise that this image has caused such a stir then.
This shoot is far from regular and we love and support anyone who contributes to the normalisation of breast pumping. Good on you, Rachel!
