Platinum City Rovers 0-2 Mages FC

Magesi have a one foot in the DStv Premiership after a 2-0 victory over Platinum City Rovers on Wednesday afternoon at Isak Steyl Stadium.

Mcedi Vandala broke the deadlock for Magesi on the stroke of half-time and Abbey Seseane doubled their lead midway through the second stanza.

Dikwena extended their lead at the top of the table to six points, with three games left to play and City Rovers remained at the bottom of the table.

University of Pretoria 1-1 JDR Stars

University of Pretoria's chances of automatic promotion suffered a big blow after a 1-1 draw against JDR Stars in the Tshwane derby on Wednesday afternoon at ABSA Tuks Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Malekgene Mampuru eventually broke the deadlock for AmaTuks midway into the second stanza.

However, JDR got the equaliser three minutes before time.

As a result, AmaTuks trail leaders Magesi by six points in second spot and the Hammerboys dropped down to fourth on the log.

Marumo Gallants 1-0 Black Leopards

Marumo Gallants moved out of the relegation zone after narrow 1-0 win over Black Leopards in the Limpopo derby on Wednesday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

The sides went to the break deadlocked before Thapelo Mokobodi got the all important goal for Gallants early in the second stanza.

Bahlabane Ba Ntwa moved out of the relegation by two points in 14th spot on the log and Leopards were left lying 11th.

Milford 4-3 Casric Stars

Casric Stars' hopes of promotion via the play-offs were dented after a 4-3 loss against Milford on Wednesday afternoon at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Former Kaizer Chiefs attacker Lebohang Lesako opened the scoring for Casric in the first ten minutes and Mvelo Zikakayo equalised for Milford 11 minutes later.

Tlotlo Leepile restored the lead for the visitors towards the interval and Sabelo Nyembe gave Casric a two-goal lead with 25 minutes to go.

However, Thobela Sikhakhane reduced the deficit for the Stallions in the last 13 minutes and Bulelani Sigomoshe levelled matters five minutes later.

Thabane Khuzwayo snatched the winner for Milford in the last minute.

Casric dropped down to seventh on the table and Milford jumped up to 12th.

NB La Masia 2-1 Pretoria Callies

NB La Masia ended their 11-game winless run after edging Pretoria Callies 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Dobsonville Stadium.

Callies went ahead after just three minutes but Shane Saralina levelled matters for La Masia ten minutes before the break.

Fuad Johnson snatched the winner for La Masia on the hour-mark.

La Masia moved up to 13th on the table, two points behind tenth-placed Callies.

Orbit College 1-1 Hungry Lions

Orbit College's hopes of qualifying for the promotion play-offs were dented after a 1-1 draw against Hungry Lions on Wednesday afternoon.

Orbit slipped down to sixth on the table, three points behind third-placed Baroka and Lions also dropped down to ninth.

Upington City 0-1 Baroka

Baroka won back-to-back games after edging Upington City 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Mxolisi Dicky Jacbs Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Bakgaga got a late goal that eventually sealed victory.

Dan Malesela's charges jumped up to third on the table and Bafana Ba Gucci had to settle for eighth spot.

Venda Football Academy 1-1 Maritzburg United

Maritzburg United's promotion chances were dented after a 1-1 draw against Venda Football Academy on Tuesday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

Xolani Slawula broke the deadlock for Maritzburg on the stroke of half-time but Thabelo Tshikweta levelled matters for Venda just after the hour-mark.

The Team of Choice slipped down to fifth on the log and Venda also dropped down to 15th.
