Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan are pregnant again!

accreditation

Mark Zuckerberg, Priscilla Chan and their daughter Max are to be joined by another little person in the near future!

Mark recently took to Instagram (another social media platform owned by the Facebook corporation) to break their good news.

The cherry on top: it's another baby girl!

Mark has three sisters and Priscilla has two sisters as well!

Priscilla and I are happy to share we're expecting another baby girl! I grew up with three sisters and they taught me to learn from smart, strong women. They weren't just my sisters but some of my best friends. They've gone on to write books, excel at performance, music, sports, cooking and their careers. They showed me how to compete and still laugh together afterwards. Priscilla grew up with two sisters and they taught her the importance of family, caring for others and hard work. They supported each other as first generation college students and in their careers in medicine and business. They have so many inside jokes -- the kind only siblings can understand. We are all better people because of the strong women in our lives -- sisters, mothers and friends. We can't wait to welcome our new little one and do our best to raise another strong woman.

He posted a picture of himself with his three sisters and speaks of how much they impacted his life. How they taught him to learn from strong women and how much they, themselves, taught him.

He also said they can't wait to welcome another little one into the world and do their best to raise another strong woman.

Mark also posted the news on his Facebook page, accompanied by a few pictures of Mark and his sisters, along with Priscilla and her sisters. He also mentions the trouble they went through in order to have their daughter Max.

Mark and Priscilla experienced three miscarriages before having Max. Mark shared the experience on Facebook because he wanted to highlight the pain one feels when going through something like this.

The couple celebrated their daughter Max's birthday at the end of last year on 1 December. The couple were so thrilled with their baby girl that they penned a rather profound letter to her following her birth in 2015.

Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook's Chief Operating Officer and activist who founded the nonprofit organisation Lean In, posted her congratulations on Mark's letter in 2015 and Mark's response was terrific:

Lean In is an organisation helping to empower women and achieve their ambitions and now Max will have a little sister who could be her "partner in crime" as a Lean In girl!

While Mark is all for empowering women, he also understands that being a father is an important task. After his Max's birth in 2015, Mark took off work for two months to enjoy being a new father and this was when he implemented the policy at Facebook around the globe - new fathers are allowed up to four months paternity leave.

We are overjoyed at the news and are thrilled for the Zuckerberg family!
