Nothing could be more frightening to a parent than the thought of a sick child, and even worse a dying child.
According to the Cancer Association of SA (CANSA), each year up to 1000 children living in South Africa are diagnosed with cancer before their 15th birthday.
But with early detection and treatment, diagnosis is not a death sentence.
CANSA has dedicate the entire month of September to raising awareness around the facts regarding childhood cancer, urging parents to be aware of the early warning signs, as well as separating false information from fact, creating the infographic below to illustrate this important information:
